The Founder
Arturo Coto is a founder, CEO, and operator with 30 years of experience across market research, management consulting, technology, mobile payments, and retail.
Throughout his career spanning technology, mobile payments, market research, and retail, Arturo consistently focused on a core organizational challenge: how companies define, communicate, and govern the promises they make — to customers, partners, and internal teams. Across growth-stage and enterprise environments, he observed that many execution failures, delivery risks, and internal breakdowns were not the result of poor strategy or insufficient capability, but of misaligned and unmanaged commitments.
Over time, this observation evolved into a structured point of view: that promises themselves represent a distinct and governable unit of organizational risk. This perspective, developed through years of operational and advisory experience, became the foundation for both his Promise Drift, launching Spring 2026, and the Promise Alignment System.

The book combines a business fable — the story of a company called AxisLine that discovers and resolves its promise drift — with a practical framework section introducing the Promise Alignment System (PAS).
Through real-world case studies and a narrative that reflects the messy reality of organizational life, Promise Drift gives leaders a language and methodology for the problems they've felt but couldn't articulate: why teams over-commit, why customers lose trust gradually, and why growth so often outpaces delivery.

The Promise Alignment System (PAS) is the practical operating model at the heart of everything we do. It gives teams a shared language and governance structure for every promise they make.
PAS was formalized from years of operational and advisory experience into a discipline designed to help organizations define, classify, and govern promises consistently across people, processes, and AI-enabled systems.
The system includes five core components: the Core Promise, the Promise Stack, the Promise Gate, the Alignment Rhythm, and the Keeper Network — each designed to work together as an integrated operating model for promise-keeping organizations.
